Greg Hockenbrocht has spent the last decade building and advising companies at the intersection of technology and financial services. As the principal of Illuminated Ventures, he supports founders and teams of seed-through-growth stage fintech and SMB-focused technology companies.
As an operator, he was a member of the executive leadership team at Fundera, leading Business Development and Partnerships prior to its acquisition by NerdWallet. At NerdWallet, he led Growth & Venture, where he was responsible for leading early growth and venture-focused initiatives following its IPO in 2021.
Greg spent the early years of his career across several roles at J.P. Morgan that included Financial Services M&A and Capital Markets, and Investment Strategy as an analyst for the Chief Investment Officer of Asset Management. He has a B.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan.
